Our History
In 1938, Norm Leevers founded a supermarket in Devils Lake, North Dakota with the intention to give back to the community. Soon, Leevers Supermarkets quickly grew into a generational passion lasting over eighty years. The Leevers family has continued the legacy of offering high-quality groceries at affordable prices, and is now on its fourth generation of leadership. Through our many changes and banners in different communities, we’ve remained dedicated to bringing low prices and quality products to all the communities we serve.

Leevers is 100% employee owned, so each of our stores can best represent its community and become a true neighborhood market, built to create purpose, connection, and opportunity through ownership and community investment.
Our employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) provides eligible employees with shares in our company’s stock, creating opportunities for ownership not available in traditional employment structures.
